Trend Micro enhances SIEM efficiency through the use of agent-based AI.

Trend Micro has announced its new Agentic AI technology, designed to address the longstanding challenges associated with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). This innovative solution, known as Trend Vision One Agentic SIEM, leverages Agentic AI from the ground up to enhance speed, performance, and provide risk-driven, contextual insights for rapid threat mitigation. As the cybersecurity landscape increasingly shifts towards AI-driven solutions, the need for an evolved security data layer becomes paramount. Traditional SIEM systems have struggled with issues such as high costs, complexity, alert overload, and reliance on manual configurations. By automating processes that previously took weeks, Agentic AI enables security teams to focus on strategic tasks while effectively managing alert noise and optimising data management.

With over 900 data sources supported since its launch on August 1, Trend’s Agentic SIEM significantly improves visibility and threat detection. The onboarding process for new log types is streamlined to just three days, with plans to reduce this to three hours by 2026, thereby minimising risks in enterprise environments. The solution integrates Trend’s proven Extended Detection and Response (XDR) capabilities, featuring six native security sensors across various domains, including endpoint, cloud, email, networks, servers, and identity. Additionally, it offers up to seven years of archival data retention and two years of analytic retention, enhancing detection, threat hunting, and compliance support. Rachel Jin, Chief Enterprise Platform Officer at Trend Micro, emphasises that Agentic SIEM represents a significant advancement towards a fully AI-driven Security Operations framework, reinforcing Trend’s commitment to cybersecurity innovation and market leadership.
