The White House Marketplace says “We are retiring!”

The White House Dark Web marketplace will cease to exist as the website administrator has announced to shut down its operations and that they are retiring.

The admin of the White House market “mr white” explained that the platform would halt its operations as he had reached his goal in terms of profit. The announcement was posted on the dread forum.

“We have reached our goal and now, according to plan, it’s time for to retire,” the admin posted on the Dread thread. The cryptographically signed message came with the operator’s GPG key.

What is White House Dark Web Marketplace?

It is a dark web underground marketplace that facilitates the trading of illegal goods. The site, accessible through the Tor browser, was launched in Feb 2019, just a few months before the Wall Street market’s exit.

As shown in the screenshot below, the marketplace eventually became one of the most thriving underground marketplaces on the Dark Web.

Its operators initially accepted payments only in Monero cryptocurrency, and it operated on i2p and Tor
